Bueno, estos peces son muy resistentes, es familia de la botia payaso, minimo se debe tener unos 4 a 6 de ellos, son peces muy sociables, puede estar en la pecera comunitaria, solo se debe tener en cuenta la temperatura 28 a 30° C, pues es muy propenso al punto blanco y una agua con dureza blanda, con cambios parciales de la misma aprox 25% cada mes dependiendo los filtros que se tiene en el acuario; pueden llegar a vivir años.
